At The Circle R Ranch

While horseback riding is the main-event at the Circle R Ranch, there's a whole line-up of different things to do throughout the day and week.

Our heated swimming pool is a full 20 X 40 feet.  Other activities include volley ball, pony carts, paddle boating, canoeing, tennis tournaments, softball, basketball, hiking, tug-of-war and others.  Each night, special events are scheduled, like improv night, karaoke night, dance night, gaming night, overnight camp outs and other events. 

On Saturday, there is a horse show ( weather permitting ) complete with ribbons and trophies. All riders participate in the grooming and horsemanship class. There is also egg and spoon, water cup, and musical tires.   Advanced riders compete in barrel racing, but all riders compete only within their group level.

Week's Highlights:

Overnight: This is a two hour ride to our campground.  There is a campfire program with a sing along and stories.  What a thrill to sleep out with your horse close by, ( weather permitting ). After breakfast, we return to camp.

CRR Horseman Certificate: For the youngsters that want to further their riding abilities, we offer skill tests based on CHA guidelines for which certificates are awarded.   These are handled by our certified riding instructors.  This option entitles you to have additional classes each day and the opportunity to ride your horse in skills tests to earn certificates in horsemanship, at no extra cost.

Saturday Horse Show: On Saturday, there is an exciting horse show weather permitting complete with ribbons and trophies. All riders participate in the grooming and horsemanship class. There is also egg and spoon, water cup, and musical tires.   Advanced riders compete in barrel racing, but all riders compete only within their group level. Ribbons and some trophies are awarded and campers have the opportunity to show their parents what they accomplished during the week.  Hot dogs and sloppy joes will be sold for a minimum charge from 10:30 - 11:30 am.  Horse show starts at 11:00 am weather permitting.
